"Transparencies", composed by Ladd McIntosh. Amateur recording of the '79-'80 M.C.C. band. "Transparencies" is the 2nd movement of Ladd's 1979 "Suite Mesa". A gorgeous piece featuring Vince Wedge playing superbly on the trombone solo. Also interesting are the high woodwind clusters, percussion and vibraphone parts, and muted brass that Ladd wrote. What a beautiful mood!
